October 31st-Add some Material

Here is my card using fabric/material for the background...a stash from my quilting days.  Layered a Stampin Up designer paper over it and than the image which was colored with copic markers.  I sewed the fabric and rick-rack onto the card before placing the paper and image.

PP-Hay There -- October 31st

PP-Hay There
from

This was a super cute file to work with and create a Fall type card for friends or family member.  The cut file consists of the Hay stack and title.  The pumpkin from a file from Creative Kuts.  3-Piece button layered and tied with twine and glue dot to the corner.  I cut two strips of green card stock and added to the card ... hoping it looks like a fence post.  The black and white polka dot washi tape from Wal-mart.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today, Happy Halloween to you all and hugs to all.

BAP #39 Belive Mini-Album

Believe Mini-Album
http://www.creativekuts.com

When I make another album like this one, I will be using SCAL2 for all pages...that way the chipboard back will match the card stock. Using two different software and machines....the chipboard and the card stock I glued over the chipboard did not match...thank god I had small scissors to do the trimming. But it's finished...even though I am NOT happy with the final results.!!!

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me, and hugs to all.

PP-Pilgrim Challenge

Good morning...this is my second DT project for http://www.svgcuttingfiles.blogspot.com  and the cutting file is one of a couple pilgrims...the female pilgrim.  I first laid out the white cardstock in the size I wanted, and typed in the sentiment in lower right hand corner of the card.  The second layer cardstock is a image or clip art on found on a Internet search, saved the image and than brought up into my Abode Photoshop Elemets software and printed it out in the size that could be cut down to fit the card base.  I cut out the Lady Pilgrim and placed on the card along with two sizes of pumpkins.  The eyes I added lashes and white in the eye area to give it some dimension.

Thank you for stopping by and check out svgcuttingfiles blot at

A Stitch in Time Challenge

Occasionally I enter the CDAC Progressive Freebie Challenge where you receive a free image to work on, and once finished you go onto another image.  From what I understand it's a series that you work on and once finished they start another new series.  This is my second image I have worked on.

Colored the image using Bic Markers ... both regular and metallic markers.  The one button on bottom right hand corner I poke holes in the botton holes and used baker twine to simulate threaded button.  Layered the card on red card stock from I believe Close to My Heart that I had bordered punch at one time.

I received the button brad in a goodie package, so used one that had a flower on it in red.  Laid a grosgrain ribbon and tied a faux bow in the ribbon.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me, and hugs to all.

October 22 Challenge...Pilgrim Couple

Pilgrim Couple and Turkey

1 of pilgrims
1 of turkey
1 of pilgrims with scrapbook paper with Thanksgiving theme

Paper used:  Walmart stash of card stock

Image one:

Pilgrim couple placed on foam tape on a technique I learn on Stamping School that creates a faux background.  Cut out the leaves I created ...Granny Ma's Creations.

Image two:

Cut out the Turkey silhouette from www.creativepoint.com, using foam tape to raise it up on the card base.  A pumpkin was created by Granny Ma's Creations©2012 and added to the right of the turkey.  One left I cut out and placed in right upper corner.

Image three:

Created a background using scrapbook paper I found on a search of free paper...creating a card base.  With the pilgrim silhouette from www.creativepointe.com I created a frame to fit the front of the card and than cut out a white silhouette of the pilgrim and layered on the framed piece.  Apron and hat/cap cut out in black.  Layered some of the leaves on frame plus brads in each corner.

I rounded the corners with my round edge corner punch and a couple cards I roughed up the edges with my new toy, by Imaginisce that you can destress the edges or emboss a name or sentiment in the card stock.

Thank you for some wonderful pieces to work with, Cindy.

I finished the Something Recycled project, adding ribbon to the front cover, and added a couple photos for my granddaughter....

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me and hugs to all.

PP-Spooky Haunted House

This is my first DT project for http://www.svgcuttingfiles.com and really had fun creating this Spooky Haunted House using the following file from

The bat and cat embellishment pieces from

just click on tab for svgs for sale

The ghosts files from ... I don't remember where I obtained them...a free file from a blog I follow.

I created a center step card, cut the Spooky Haunted House file and centered it..over a circle I created in my SCAL software.  I placed design paper on the edges layered over card stock, and layered orange card stock on the step.

I love this file....and will be using more and more.  I added the bat onto the moon, and a cat just over the end of the word Haunted with foam tape.  The ghosts I foam taped to the edges of the spooky house.

Great file which includes the Haunted House and the Spooky Haunted Title for $1.00 over at

PP #11- PiratesLife

available at:

My great grandson, Carson turn 2 years old this month and his birthday theme was Pirates and Ann over at svgcuttingfiles.com has this cut available to purchase that I was test cutting for her ... and it was a great piece to cut out and put together.

I purchased the sentiments from

and attached to chipboard and than foam taped them to the map page.  I will be placing photos of Carson's birthday party in the map areas.  The pieces was cut out cardstock from my Wal-mart stash.  The glue and or adhesive I use not very satisfied with...once I have to pull up a piece I have to add more glue or adhesives and than it does not stick/stay down.  Always have to re-glue again.  Once glued should be permanent!! LOL

Another October Birthday Card

Another birthday card which I kept very simple.  The butterfly stickers I applied to the front of a card.  Punched a scalloped with holes border along the edge of the card, and added another punched layer to put under the front of the card.  Ran ribbon thru the edge holes and tied a mock-bow approximately center.  Stamped Hoppy for You by Stampin! Up on the bottom edge.

This card is for my sister in Chicago ... her birthday's the 25th.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting with me, and hugs to you all.

October's Birthday Cards

Alexis' Birthday Card©2012

My granddaughter, Alexis' birthday is the 21st of this month, and she will be, {drum roll, please} a pre-teen.  This makes me cry.  My son's oldest girl soon to be a teen-ager, and believe me she acts like a teen-ager now.  And becoming a very lovely young lady as well.

I created this card while on vacation in Indiana (brrrrrrrr, it's cold up there, but very much welcome!!)  Cardstock and designer paper from my step-daughter's stash, and the stamps is Stampin! Up but don't know the name.  The punch is a Martha Stewart punch I purchased at their local Wal-mart (interesting).  Ribbon from her stash as well.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting with me today, and hugs to all.

My card for Oct 10th Web Embossing.  I embossed the broom end, the logs (sorry did not have any brown embossing powder) and Happy Halloween sentiment.  Also used Black gel pen on hats and boots, and purple on her belt.  Used Stampin Up markers and a couple Copic markers in coloring.  Layered a skull and bones ribbon under the two pieces, and also ran the card stock thru the Big Shotz using a spider web embossing folder.

Thank you for stopping by to read my late posting.  And hugs to all.

Using something Recycled Challenge

I have joined the design team for Stamp-N-Doodles and we're working on Something Recycled in our cards or projects this week..Here is mine:

A Teen and her music image can be found at

$2.50

I converted an old book I picked up at a thrift shop, took the cover off and replaced with a recycled box (beer) for the covers.  Left the inside intact, and added cardstock to the front of the pages so my granddaughter can photos.  I colored the images with Copic markers and used glaze gel pen for the sandals and Ipod/Mp3 player.  The buttons, paper and washi tape purchased at Wal-mart.

I am hoping to decorate a couple of the card stock pages b/4 this book finds it way to Korea for my almost teen-ager, Alexis' birthday party on the 20th.  I was great fun to create this book; and will be working up a altered book for her sister with the theme of Hello Kitty.

Please join us in the challenge over at
